College Clothing

Hi! So, in a week or so, I’ll be attending Michigan State University as a freshman, so I’m not sure how much clothing is necessary when moving up there. My clothing style is pretty basic (not really a dressy person). I’m also gonna be working out a lot (well, when I can), so that’s a factor too. But anyways, my thought was maybe 3-4 sweatshirts, 2 flannels, 10 t-shirts, 1 pair of shorts, 1 skirt, 5 jeans, 2 sweatpants, 4 shoes, 2 boots for everyday wear. 1-2 gym shoes, 5 shirts, and 5 bottoms for workout. And like. 7 bottoms, 7 tops for sleepwear?

I guess I have to take into account how much I’ll be washing stuff too. Any tips for any of this please? Or any tips for college life in general would be helpful xD Thank you in advance.

Sounds good to me. You might look into a laundry service at your school. The program I looked at for my daughter is reasonable and would be a huge time saver. I assume you are familiar with Michigan weather. Don’t forget the cold weather gear.

You might want another pair of shorts or two. Sept can have some pretty warm days. And take a lot of underwear. That is what will make you have to do laundry all the time.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if I should since Michigan can be pretty cold. I’d have to buy some since my others don’t fit well anymore though 8-|
