College Compare

Hey Guys,
I got into the following colleges for the mentioned courses and it would be appreciated if the people in this forum could help me make a decision.
So, I got into:
Babson for Entrepreneurship, Kelley Direct Admit For Economic Consulting, Emory Undecided and USC for BA.

As of now, I am only sure that I want to do a business concentration and I don’t really want to do something theoretical as Business Administration. So if I go to USC, I would most probably switch to accounts and finance.
I mostly want to do Econ as a major or minor and Finance as the other major or minor. Also, party life is not that important for me. Once in a week or two weeks should be enough. However, the place should be convenient and accessible, not in a place far away from civilization. Also prestige of the school, and the strength of the course matters a lot.

Hope you guys can help me. Thanks.

Kelley will start you on the road to being a business leader from day one as a freshman. Emory has a good b-school too but you start in Goizueta Junior year.

USC is well ranked but not in the same league as Kelley and Goizueta IMHO. USC is also a commuter school with a large percentage of people living off campus.

Babson is much like USC for undergrads. As you know, Babson has a great rep for entrepreneurship with its MBA program but I question how many people founding companies majored in entrepreneurship.

All great schools. Visit them and go with your gut. Prestige is useless unless you love the school.

More replies please.

Try to ask more/better questions specifically about IU and you will get better responses. Most of us know nothing about any of the school except IU. We are not here to do your research for you. I’ll try to answer some stuff from your original post:

You can party pretty much any time you want at IU, but nobody is going to force you to party. What do you mean by “convenient and accessible”? There are buses that easily take you to Bloomington from the Indianapolis airport, but there isn’t much outside of Bloomington. Kelley is a top 10 business school and I have been satisfied with the course quality so far. Also just so you know, you are not locked into a specific major at Kelley right now and you don’t have to decide a major until junior year.

This thread might be helpful as it answers some other questions about Kelley.
