College course taken as a hs student and TAG eligibility

I want to TAG to UCD as comp stats major, but I am unsure about my eligibility for the TAG program. Basically, I took the equivalent of Eng CS 30 (a major prep course) at my local cc while I was in high school and received a D. But I have since retaken the equivalent at a different cc in the Fall and ended up with an A. Will I still eligible to apply for TAG this year for the major.

Yes, as long as you have the minimum GPA. The No D TAG rule applies to courses after you apply. Also there may be some rule in the major itself that no major requirement can ever have a D and the first attempt is the one that will count, but I think Haas is the only major with that rule.

Thanks for the reply. My top school is UCSD for the Math-CS program. Do you think the D grade I received will be significantly discounted by adcom considering I was a clueless highschool student.

Yes, they will give you a pass. ?
