college courses

do i have to take calc in college? im not taking it in high school (im a senior) but the next course should be calc...im not extremely good at math and im probably going into the communications/liberal arts field do i really need it?

no, you won't need to

if there is a math general education requirement, you can probably complete it with a lower level math course. My school has "math of powered flight" for people who don't want to take calc

Most likely not. I've seen any liberal arts/communication majors here that require calculus.

You'll only need to take it if you're in one of the engineering or premed programs. Possibly a couple other heavy science majors require it. My school has a gen ed requirement but most people take stats to fulfill it which is what I'm takingnext semester

Just don't take engineering stats. It's a royal pain in the ***. Was probably my hardest math despite taking calculus 2 and linear algebra.
