College Decision for accounting in MD/VA (UMW, MSM, UMBC, or Towson)

I'm completely undecided about which school to go to and would appreciate any pros or cons for these schools. My planned major is Accounting and I'd prefer a smaller more intimate school with a serious attitude towards academics but a variety of social activities on the weekend. I've visited all 4 schools and have serious likes and dislikes about each.

Univ. of Mary Washington - seemed close to perfect except for out-of-state tuition (we're in MD), business classrooms seemed poorly maintained/dated, and no actual accounting major (only business)

Mount Saint Mary's - no surrounding social activities, extremely rural, almost too small.

UMBC - larger than desired, no specific accounting program, not much warmth/emotion

Towson - Only main complaint is its way too BIG!!!!!!!

I've been accepted to all four, but can't seem to decide what tradeoffs are acceptable.

If you have any information about the 4 schools, please share it with me. Thanks.

It's sometimes tough to decide which place is right for you. You have to see which place you will have success academically, but also which place seems like it could be your home most. Don't forget this school will be your home and where you do many things for years. Good luck with your decision!

Which county do you live in? Montgomery College has a good pre-business program where you could get started on your Accounting major, and you would have another year or two to think about which place is right for you to finish up at. I know MC is a commuter school, but in my visits to campus I've seen plenty of evidence of a lively student life.

Thanx for your response. I live in Calvert County so Montgomery County is probably not an option, besides I really want to live on campus.

Bump -- Bump -- Bump

I'm sorry, but I'm desperate for information
