VCU or Towson University?

I am a senior in the state of MD. I have narrowed my top 2 choices to VCU and Towson. I want to major in either Accounting, Business Admin, or Environment. Both schools have these courses.

TOWSON
Pros: Instate tuition, one of the biggest business school in the state of MD, D1 Football (although they kinda suck), close to Baltimore, job opportunities, offers a 5 year masters program in accounting
Cons: SAME FACES from high school, may feel like a high school 2.0 version, very close to home, my parents will probably expect me home on most weekends,

VCU
Pros: NEW beginning, RIchmond has many job/internship opportunities, many of my family relatives went there, better ovaerall academic rep, business school is growing, diversity, 2 hours away from home (not too close, not too far), AMAZING D1 basketball team, great places to eat, festivals, cheap cost of living, almost positive i would enjoy Richmond
Cons: OUT OF STATE TUITION is a KILLER (almost $39,000), does NOT offer a 5 year masters program for accounting, sketchy area (not a big deal to me though)

Which school would offer me the best college experience? Which school has better academic program/raputation? Which school throws great parties? Social life?

So guys, please fill me in in what you guys think is the best decision. I am open to all considerations.

what’s your parents’ budget and what are they saying about paying for VCU?

They are actually willing to pay if i got to VCU since they know its a good school. Plus a lot of my relatives have gone there and are not in a bad position right now. So they are open.
It’s just tough to think that i am paying double when i am ultimately walking out with the same degree…

Check out with Towson: what criteria do they use to admit students into their Masters in Accounting?
Are you parents willing to pay because they have the money or would they have to take on loans? (it’d be pretty normal if you took on your federal loans and a part time job, about 10 hours a week). If they have the money and are willing to pay, and if you could do your Master’s in Accounting in VA or in Towson, it sounds like VCU would be your preferred choice. So it’s really a family decision, but as long as no one objects and the money’s there, go wherever you want and thank you parents for giving you this amazing opportunity.
