College Decision...is it too late now?

I don't know how common this situation is but...

Would it be too late for me to call Holy Cross and ask if they could reconsider my acceptance that I turned down? I know it's late in May, and they had weeks to use their wait-list, but I just saw a post where the student said they got admitted last Thursday from the wait-list. So I'm wondering if they still have spots available. Obviously I am not on the WL and denied their offer, but do I still have a chance?

I turned down HC over NYU because I thought the traditional campus life would get dull soon, but the more I thought about it this month, I realized that college experience happens only once while the city experience will always be available. So that being said, I want to see if I can still enroll at HC. I know it's horribly late...but I guess I could still try?

Speaking of NYU, would I be able to withdraw my enrollment without any restriction? I would obviously get no refund for the deposit and housing fee, but would I be unrestricted?

So I plan to call HC first and see if they say yes, and call NYU to withdraw my enrollment.

Any information would be helpful! Thank you!

It can’t hurt to try- call tomorrow and plead your case…tell them you made a terrible mistake. Be honest and sincere. At NYU you will only lose your deposit, nothing else. Good luck!

absolutely give it a try. You’ll regret it forever if you don’t make the attempt.
I can’t imagine two institutions being more different than NYU and HC. If you’re going to mention NYU, be ready with a reason why after considering an enormous Urban University you’re now sure this tiny college is a better choice for you.
