College Decisions-Business Deparment

Hey,
I was wondering what prereq classes are like. I heard that only around 60% of students gain admissions to the business college after two years of taking prereq classes. Are prereq classes just that hard or is the admissions process really selective? Finally, what happens in the case of being rejected from entering into the business school after prereqs?

I could either risk the 60% acceptance after prereqs or attend Indiana University Honors Business Program with 9k a year. Indiana is ranked slightly higher (about 9 spots) in business as well. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I want to work in Seattle after college and U-Dub would help me with that.

I feel like the pre-reqs are pretty easy overall. If I were to hazard a guess as to why 40% of people weren’t
accepted, I’d say most of those people either:

 1. Didn’t try / slacked off = low GPA
 2. Some Intl. students who may have had trouble with the WSA? (Not sure how common this is, but I hear people talking about it. I may be completely wrong as to how prevalent this issue is).
 3. People who started off in STEM fields, bombed most of their classes, then try to switch over to business when their GPAs are already irreparably harmed.

This is mostly conjecture on my part, so I could be wrong, but with all that said, most people I know consider the business pre-reqs to be pretty easy.
