I know I am not supposed to talk about something in my resume. My transcript will show I have taken both Spanish and French at school (for pleasure). My passion is language learning and connecting with other cultures. I would like to discuss this within my college essay and relate a part of my life to each language I’ve studied/learned. Thoughts?
As long as your essay “sells” your application in a way your resume doesn’t, I think you’re fine. So don’t rehash what courses you’ve taken and what awards you’ve won.
Your description sounds like it’s on target.
many talk about their passion in college essay – it’s a pretty interesting topic and it shows who you are…just make sure you do not sound like many others talking about their passion…best
There is no problem mentioning something in your activities or resume, as long as the essay is more personal and about you.
