College essay prompt might be too boring?

So I chose essay option 5 and decided to write my own question. My question isn't really that creative. It's "Why do you want to attend University of Chicago."

Can I possibly get some feedback? I know UC has a reputation for having creative essay questions so I'm really reluctant to submit my essay. I don't want to post my essay but it poses a controversial topic and it expresses my passion for education. I can't say it's super out of the box but it is definitely not boring (from what I have been told by others.

I believe there is already an additional essay where they ask essentially ask you “Why UChicago”…

However…your main essay can still definitely show why you want to attend the University of Chicago. You’ll just need to come up with a different prompt for your essay.

So it’s not really a big problem the way I see it. If you make the right prompt and any essay adjustments (if needed), you’ll be showing doubly how the University of Chicago is right for you.

Tip: the essay where they actually ask you “Why UChicago” should have specifics as to why you want to attend. They want to see that you know about the school. For the main essay, don’t be too specific as the original point of the main essay is not explicitly “Why UChicago.” This might be a bit confusing so send me a PM if you ahve a question.

Good luck!

Wait, there is already an essay for “Why UChicago?” Where can I find it? I didn’t see one.

“How does the University of Chicago, as you know it now, satisfy your desire for a particular kind of learning, community, and
future? Please address with some specicity your own wishes and how they relate to UChicago.”
