I have a few questions about my essay topic, and I'd appreciate it if you could respond with your sincerest opinions.

I often think about why people are the way they are and how their intereactions with their environment makes them a certain way. I always wonder why people are mean, nice, mature, creative, religious, studious, rebellious, etc. I'm especially interested in people's childhoods, as events during one's childhood can make a great impact on one's personality.

I've always been a curious person. Ever since I was little, I would have random curiosities that I thought could be serious interests, but never really materialized (and a few that have, like science, chess, etc). Maybe my curiosity about people is just another one of my silly wannabe interests, but right now I'm considering writing about this in one of my college essays.

For those of you who are at least slightly familiar with what I'm talking about, could this be an undiscovered interest in psychology or something? Is this something worth writing in an essay? I haven't had much time to delve into it yet, and I don't have any formal knowledge (just what I think about on a daily basis), but I think I'll pick up a few books about it to learn more. So far I'm planning on writing about my curiosity and also what it reveals about me, but I just wanted to make sure that I'm not making any obvious mistakes or anything like that.

Thanks.
