College Experience or CC?

It has always been my dream of attending the University of Florida. Although I believe I have a very good chance of getting into UF for next year (Knock on Wood, Do not want to jinx it), I was considering using Santa Fe as my backup. I have already gotten into a couple of other schools such as a full ride at Alabama, Baylor, Auburn, I believe I will get into UGA, Tulane, etc., what are people’s opinions on this…A college experience or CC to be in Gainesville and closer then transfer?

That’s a complicated question, and you have to take a lot of factors into consideration.

What do you want out of your college experience? Especially your freshman year
.
What’s the cost? How important is that to you?

What’s your major? That could impact which college you choose and how long you have to stay at Santa Fe.

Who many AP/IB/AICE/Duel Enrollment credits will you have? That impacts how long you would need to stay at Santa Fe. Also, some of those other schools may not give award you as many credits as Santa Fe.

Keep in mind you can always transfer from those other Universities into UF as a junior. However, after spending 2 years at these schools, you’ll likely will not want to transfer.

Good Luck!

So you applied to UF already but didn’t get in?

No @insanedreamer I said I believe I will get in, but if I don’t, this is the point of this thread.

Any chance of visiting those other four year colleges? You might find you like some as much as UF.

In that case, wait until you know whether you’re accepted at UF, and if you don’t, at that point you can agonize over whether to go to CC or another college.

Wait until you get all your acceptances in hand and know the costs of each option. Then repost.
