I dont want those college think I have no money to pay, so reject me.

I want to say no - many colleges do a need-blind admissions process. However, I have heard that finances play a role for borderline students in some colleges.

so should I just use fee waivers for match schools and back up schools? and for dream, reach schools I pay for them?

Well no, what I would recommend is trying to go on the web sites and seeing what type of admission they do. Honestly though, if you qualify for a fee waiver, I would recommend you use it.

thank you alot! and the NACAC fee waiver is unlimited right? I can use as much as I want? I just need my counselor to sign it, and I mail to the admission office right~?

I’m confused. If you qualify to have your application fee waived, how will you find the money to pay for the reach colleges that you’re thinking of applying to without a waiver?

If you apply with a fee waiver, several things could happen: you could be admitted with adequate financial aid, or you could be admitted with insufficient financial aid, or you could be rejected.

If you apply without a fee waiver, each of those things is still possible.

Presumably, you’ll be applying for financial aid? If you apply for FA, I think need-aware institutions will pay a lot more attention to the financial records your family submits with the FA application than to whether you’ve used a fee waiver. And need-blind institutions won’t take FA into account when deciding whether to admit or deny.

I think you’re overthinking this. By a lot.
