Application Fee Waiver

I qualify for the collegeboard college application fee waivers, but before I use them, I need to know the answers to these questions:

Will using an application fee waiver affect my chances of getting into certain schools? Also, will the admissions committee/officers know that I used a waiver for my application? What about schools that are need blind?

I don't want to pay the app fees (9 colleges, but Collegeboard will only waive 4 or 5), but if using the waivers will affect my chances, then I'd rather pay because it will be worth it in the long run. Btw, I do qualify for the waivers.

u can only use up to 4.

as for affecting college chances... i don't know. i have heard two sides.

from some college books, i have heard that if the addmissions office sees a person that can pay on their own or thinks that person can, then they get a favorable view. NYU does that

some colleges don't even see that u used a fee waiver.... though i have seen applications that has that info right at the bottemn of the page....

What about the NACAC application fee waiver request?

Not all colleges grant this, but it's worth a try.

Do state universities allow fee waivers for internationals?

What about colleges that are need blind? Will it hurt my chances if I use a fee waiver then?

Won't hurt you to use fee waiver.
