I’ve read those. It seems as if the most likely schools are Brown, Hopkins and Haverford (which is now full with young MS). Other than Yale (which basically doesn’t recruit), the other Ivies are out of range fencing-wise. That seems like a small pool to try for.
What about (since it seems you are targeting the East Coast), Brandeis, NYU, and Vassar?
Vassar is a good addition. Thank you. Although NYU and Brandeis are excellent schools, they’re a little lower down the academic totem pole than we were thinking.
We’ve been mostly thinking East Coast, though that doesn’t have to be a limitation. He loved Stanford when we visited it, for example. I suspect, though, that his level of fencing wouldn’t attract the interest of the coach there.
