College Football...

Icer, do you not realize that Tennessee almost always plays better at home? It's just a fact. I'm biased, but I'm giving my Vols an edge.

All college football teams tend to play better at home. That's called the home field advantage.

Michigan is MANHANDLING the Irish today...who saw that coming???

HAIL TO THE VICTORS. MUAHAHAHA.

Eat your words fools!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GATORS!

My prediction, however: USC 49, Nebraska 10.

HAHAHA, I think it might be a little closer than that!

Actually, that prediction sounds really good.

HEAD BACK TO CLASS FOOLS! 28-10 is far short of the USC stomping that some anticipated.

On the flipside, Cal's 42-16 game over lowly Portland State looked alright through the first half (the final score was also the HALFTIME SCORE!), but the second half was beyond mediocrity. Tedford should have left in his primary players to produce a 70+ point rampage reminiscent of USC, but NO he has to stop short of decimation! ARGH!

yea alabama

(easy win, though)

Oh yeah, and THE END YEAR ANNUAL MICHIGAN AND OHIO STATE DUEL IS GOING TO BE INSANE now that the Wolverines blasted the Fighting Irish 47-21! HOLY SHIET

Hell yes I can't wait for Muck Fichigan week here at OSU! Lucky that its a home game my freshman year... oo man....

What the hell are the Canes doing this year. Compared to the talented teams that have just gone throughI, one of the hugest Cane fans you'd ever meet considers this team's play a disgrace to the peogram

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Nebraska-USC was an incredibly boring game. I'm a Nebraska Alum and was bored out of my mind by the game. NOTHING about either team was really shown except for dwayne Jarret being a pretty good receiver. Poor game planning by the nebraska coaches. I really feel that with a lot more risks being taken, the Huskers would have won that game.

You know what is a disgrace? A Division 1 team losing to a Division 1-AA team. Absolutely atrocious.

Yup, Indiana got manhandled tonight...

And right now Stanford is being probed long and hard by the seamen of Navy...

Losing by 7 isn't getting manhandled my friend. But they do suck.

Yeah I just looked up the score, I knew you guys lost, but I didn't know the score (thought it wasn't as close). Anyway.

And Minnesota beat Temple 62-0, but what's interesting here is that this is the second straight week Temple has been shutout by 62 points.

Man. Rice got owned. Owned in the faise, even. Not that I expected things to turn out differently.

But it's okay, because we're cooler than UT.

usc-nebraska was very businesslike on USC's part, no big plays but no big weaknesses either. the only major mistakes USC made were missing the faked punt and the booty's strange sack-fumble-oops-no-it's-a-first-down.

nebraska's sole touchdown, it took them FIVE tries to move the ball 2 yards into the endzone (counting the penalty that gave them that extra try)

i just hope that auburn doesn't end up above usc in the rankings, given how sloppy that game was.

Go smoke your daily joint, you're getting too edgy. You have to give me credit for getting the Nebraska score right... and 28-10 is still a pretty convincing win. From what I saw, USC is the best team in the Pac-10 hands down. Their Defense is suffocating, you may burn them once, but they are smart and adjust on the fly.

Nebraska/USC was a very boring game...

both teams were conservative in their play calling and my huskers were afraid to throw the ball for some unknown reason. The play calling was the 2nd coming of Frank "the Tank" Solich.

this game showed NOTHING about either USC or Nebraska, except for the fact that Dwayne Jarrett is a pretty damn good. That's it. Nothing more, nothing about USC's defense or offense, nothing about Nebraska being back on the National stage, NOTHING. Well Nothing and that Nebraska is better than Arkansas (but everyone knew that when the 'hogs only beat vandy by 2)

USC certainly didn't dominate, and certainly fell well short of the blow out that everyone thought. If Nebraska would have just come out throwing the ball all over the place in the 2nd half, this could have been the best game of the day instead of the worst. The score really obscures how close the game was.

I guess Bill Callahan really wasn't just blowing smoke when he was talking about how one game doesn't define a season...which *ed me off then, and is *ing me off now. this game could have been a statement for Nebraska and they played scared.

ETA: wow, I must have been drunker than I thought last night. I just realized I already posted in this thread about last night's game.
