College for Creative Writing

I have 19 colleges on my list and want to narrow it down. My dream is to be a fiction writer, so it’s English and Creative writing that matters. Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University are on my Top list, but what about the others? Do they good for my goal?

Brown University
Colby College
Colorado College
Cornell University
Dartmouth College
Davidson College
Emory University
Hamilton College
Harvard College
Haverford College
Kenyon College
MIT
Middlebury College
Oberlin College
Reed College
University of Rochester
Yale University

@YRTI2018 Good list overall. for MIT would be it be cooperative media/studies program?

Also another great option is Penn. It is one of the very top english departments in the country and they have a creative writing program. http://writing.upenn.edu/cw/m_and_m.php

Also check out the Kelly Writers house at Penn. http://writing.upenn.edu/wh/highlights/prospective.php
It is a great way to get recruited for writing and an amazing community to be a part of while at Penn.

The descriptions for these writing programs would be worth reading through:
