Is it hard to make a 3.5 GPA or higher in college? Im planning on going to UT but i need to try to make a 3.5 or higher to get a transfer into engineering

if you go in ready to work and not over load yourself , then yes it is not too hard… I made sure to balance my classes out by mixing some hard courses with easy ones ( physics and math with a fine art and english (it is easy for me) ) keep in mind what your strengths and weaknesses are and take that in mind when you register for classes

Alright, thanks. Do you think a 3.5 would be pretty attainable though i amm going to take a good amount of science related courses like calc 1 calc 2 physics chemisty and bio all in my freshman year?

also, the mandatory class UGS 302 the signature course , is that a free A basically?

Attainable? Yes. Are you willing to work for it? That’s up to you.

That is a BIG load for freshmen year if you are not used to working that hard in HS. It will be a lot of work but do-able. Don’t forget about summer school: spanish is not my strong point so I look SPAN 1 and 2 in the summer when I could focus on just spanish …If keeping a high GPA is very important don’t forget about this option for harder courses that you are not strong in
