College hasnt received transcript

Im really concerned right now. 2 of the colleges I am applying to have not received my transcript. I know my school had sent it 3 weeks ago, becuase the 5 other colleges have all received it. The problem is that I have applied EA to these colleges, and if they have not yet received it, then I am screwed! Did the problem occur because my school sent it a few weeks before I applied online? Well, what can I do? HELP NEEDED ASAP PLEASE!

relax dude, call up the colleges and find out what thier policy is, it wont be that bad because as long as you get your application in on time i think they give you a bit of leeway, though the apps were due today so they should arrive soon

Call the colleges, then talk to your school's guidance department.

Thanks guys. Do I talk to the guidance department or the admissions department about my situation?

Any more suggestions would be helpful.
Im sure others are having the same problem with these dumb colleges losing our precious application materials.

bump..........

Call the college admissions department. It may be that they have filed the transcript but just didn't log it in to their computer records. If they check, they might discover that they have it after all.

If they can't find it, have your guidance office send a new one ASAP, but ask the admissions office if they'd findi it helpful for you to fax a copy immediately, just so they'd have something to work with in the meantime.

This sort of thing happens all the time. Last year, my daughter applied to 7 places, with 4 of them being EA. 2 of them lost transcripts and 2 of them lost track of her SATs (even though we'd gotten a paper confiirmation from ETS saying they'd sent the scores to those schools!) Calls, emails, and faxes straightened everything out. Part of the problem could have been the fact that my daughter's last name is pretty common.

One admissions director actually said that it was possible that her "SATs had accidentally been posted to another student's record." (The college get the SAT scores electronically, not in paper form.)

In some cases the college just checked their own files and found they had the info after all. In other cases, they said to resend the document, and to fax an unofficial copy in the meantime.
