Hey, I'm wondering whether it will be worth it to do Stanford ED - since it's binding, right? It's definitely my top choice, but it means I can't apply EA to Princeton, Caltech, MIT, Cornell, etc - right?

Anyways, here are my stats

SCHOOL
GPA UW - 3.81ish, Weighted - 4.58
Rank - 15ish/600
Recs - 4 year Academic Decathlon Coach, and EITHER 1 year Stats teacher and AD Assistant coach OR 2 year Chemistry Teacher (Honors and AP)
Fairly competitive Public High School in Katy (near Houston), Texas.

TESTS
SAT - CR/M/W = 800/740/790 = (1540/2330)
PSAT - CR/M/W = 79/75/76 = 230
ACT - E/M/R/S = 36/34/35/34 = 35. Essay =11, E with Writing = 35.
SAT IIs - Math, US History, Chemistry - all 800 (taking Physics in October, maybe Bio, maybe French).
APs - 9 tests, 6 5s, 2 4s, 1 3. (National AP Scholar)

ECs
Academic Decathlon - All 4 years of High School - approx. 200 hours/year - Team Captain, 3 years, State Champion (individual and Team) - leader on the team. I'm going to emphasize this in my essay. I'm also 85% certain that my score last year was the State Record score in my category, but yeah... I'm not going to put that until I confirm it. (I also have ~4700 dollars in Scholarship money from my AD successes).

UIL Mathematics and UIL Number Sense - 3 years of high school - approx. 75 hours a year, State Championship winning team in both events. (Here, the mere fact that I qualified for state means that I am eligible for a couple thousand dollars in scholarship money - unfortunately it only applies to UT)

Junior Statesmen of America - 2 years - I should be president next year, and I'm already working towards making the chapter very successful - I should know more about this in Nov/Dec when I apply.

Piano - 10 years, 1-2hr/week - 52 weeks a year (I still suck, though :P)

NHS, NFHS, Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, NMSF (I should be), National AP Scholar, National Achievement Scholar (I think).

Volunteering - not much ~50hours of random volunteering (including consistent library work)

The top 2 are really my 2 biggest ECs, and are the ones that I care most about and will emphasize most on the application.

I'm applying to....
Reach - Stanford, Caltech, MIT, Princeton (in order of Preference)
Match? - Cornell, Duke, Carnegie Mellon, UCB, Columbia, Rice
Safeties - UT Austin (automatic), Georgia Tech

....as an URM.

So I guess this is 2 parts - chance me please, and also give feedback on whether or not I should do ED for Stanford.

Thanks, very, very much!
