This summer I want to take online college classes. I am still in high school. Does anyone know who offers this?
Try your local community college. From your other posts it appears you are a freshmen who hasn’t done too well. What is your reason for wanting to take college classes now?
I’m interested in computer science and want to take a course on it
Does your HS not offer a CS course you can take? Before diving into a college level course you might want to try something online like Code Academy or Code Avengers. You also might be able to find a computer or technology camp for high school students locally that you can attend over the summer.
We do not offer a CS Course. And ive grown pass the level of everything offered online
Community college would be your best bet then. It is easier to get enrolled and likely cheaper than anything offered at an actual university. I would go to your local community college’s enrollment office and adk them about their particular policy for high schoolers enrolling in their courses.
CC or FVLS
Community college doesn’t seem a viable choice if you have a 2.8 gpa. I would recommend a course on flvs like @RMNiMiTz suggested. You’re not ready for college material if you’re struggling with hs material.
@Bobbybob444555, You’re a high school freshman, right? A 2.8 GPA isn’t horrible, especially when OP has shown such a steep upward trend. If you read his previous threads, you’d see that he has a 3.5 for his current semester. I’m sure he’ll do fine at a cc.
@austinmshauri College is many steps above a hs. Even a CC is several steps above a hs. Just don’t want OP to destroy his college gpa early on. OP didn’t have a good transition from ms to hs. It may be similar to the transition from hs to college if they aren’t ready.
@Bobbybob444555, OP didn’t do well his first semester because he didn’t try. Effort matters. If he’s willing to do the work, it sounds like he can do well.
I agree, I once read about a high school cheerleader who had a terrible GPA but got focused on her academics in college and eventually went on to get a 4.0 in college. It’s almost never too late.
