College Interview Angst, Attire, and Resume

I’m extremely worried about my alumni interviews with Harvard and Babson coming up this weekend. I’ve researched possible questions that may be asked, but I haven’t necessarily practiced for them because I don’t want to have the answers sound memorized. How should I go about practicing for the interview without ending up having the answers memorized?

In the Harvard email, I was told that the dress should be informal, however I’m fairly concerned about this. What exactly should I wear? Would jeans and a buttoned-down shirt be a better option than slacks and a dress shirt, considering it would be informal?

In the emails I received, it wasn’t noted that I should I bring a resume, but I’m not sure if I should bring one anyway. If I should bring one, what should the resume consist of?

There are lots of threads that tell you how to prepare for an interview at an Ivy school, or any college. Do a search. The best thing you can do is explore the website to death, especially for your area of interest. Re attire, it said informal. Be informal, maybe wear khakis. Be clean and neat. Re resume, no, do not bring one. Your interviewer will have no use for it. And if you can, look up a bit of info about your interviewer. Ask him/her why they chose the college.

If there is something you want the college to know about you or a certain point you want to make or an accomplishment to highlight, make sure you work that into the conversation even if you are not asked a direct question about it.
As for dress, lots of snow expected this weekend so dress appropriately for that. Last winter I was on a tour in a snowstorm and a prospective student had bare legs, ballet flats and short skirt. It looked silly. While you want to dress appropriately for college events, do so with being weather appropriate.
Good luck
