What to Wear to Interview?

Later this summer I will be interviewing at Wake Forest, and was wondering what I should wear to it. Also, if one could give me some information about what I will be asked about, etc. than that would be great.

Business casual is probably the best bet, and is fairly flexible in warm weather.
No sure about Wake Forest specifically, but there are lots of guides about the standard college interview ?s, which include “Tell me about yourself?”, “Why x college”?, “what’s your greatest strength and weakness?”, “what’s your favorite book?” and lots of others. I think questions vary between interviewers rather than between schools. Make sure you have some intelligent, Wake-specific questions that you couldn’t find on the college’s website.

  1. Agree about busienss casual. For a guy khakis (or slacks), a polo shirt (or button down shirt if you prefer), and topsiders/loafers are fine. For a female either a sundress and cardigan or slacks and a blouse (nothing too short or too revealing).
  2. If you google “college interview questions” you will get many ideas of typical things asked.
  3. Yes, have some school specific questions if possible.
  4. If you have a resume, bring it as it is a great jumping off point for a conversation. If you don’t have one, you can google high school resumes – it is basically a summary of academics and a list of activities, jobs etc.
