college interview

when do you think is a good time to arrange for interviews? spring junior or fall senior or anytime?
what are some usual interview questions?
what are some customs? like buying the interviewer a cup of coffee at the coffee shop we meet, etc?
more info on college interview is appreciated. :)

uhh... help? anyone?

I'm finding that around this time senior year is a good time to go for interviews (or a few weeks before).

You want to schedule a pretty much random time during the week, making sure that it isn't after any major open house. This in my mind would allow them to focus and remember more of you rather than you amongst a thousand other visitors.

If you get an interview with someone that works in the admissions office, chances are you will not be going on your dream of interviewing at a coffee store, but rather in their office. I don't think they expect you to buy them their food.

If you're speaking about off-campus interviews, know that the schools that offer interviews will contact you -- not the other way around. Also as you're the "junior" and the interviewer the "senior", you'd never expected to buy coffee. Frankly I would find it very awkward if a HS student bought my coffee for me. Social norms dictate that I would always buy for the applicant.

thank you!!
what would i expect to be asked? would i be expected to know what i want to do (as a career)? or tell what i like about the college. etc?
more advice needed!
