Hey, I've never yet had to have an interview. So I was wondering, do the interviewers get to read our applications + essays? Or if they don't, should I send the interviewers a brag sheet or something? And any tips for a first time interviewee?

Thanks & Happy New Year!!!

Depends on whether you get alumni interview (as is most common) or admission officer interview. There's a third type, current student interview, but that's really rare.

I have 2 alumni interviews in the next two weeks, and I'm taking along a resume, my transcript, and some supplementary material (newspaper clips) that I had sent to the colleges already.

I concur with the person above. I don't think alumni interviewers get your application or anything.

it might depend on the college. im almost positive that no one actually reads your application. one of my universities asked me to fill out a sheet with some basic information, which was given to the interviewer read before the interview. others don't even do that. i know some have a statement on their website as to what you should bring. definitely check that

but there really isn't a point of bringing much. why? if it's important, you can find a way to talk about. u don't want to give your interviewer the feeling that ur showing off. that's what the application is for.
