College list

Hey friends,

Its time for me to start sorting out colleges. Here's my quick resume. 2100 on the SAT's.
MathII - 800
Chemistry - 750
Biology M - 750

Straight A's in all courses till now i.e. 11th grade

AP - calc AB & BC, Chem, Phy, Bio.

Leadership - really great...vice-president, cabinet officer etc.

Recommendations - Hoping to be excellent

High - Duke, Stanford, John Hopkins, Cornell
Medium - Drexel, Rutgers, University of Sciences, Georgia Tech
Low - Purdue, Stevens Institute of Tech, University of Rochester.

Preferred Major - Biomedical Engineering

Feel free to give me more names of colleges to enter in any of the categories. And also change or delete from the above list. Thanks for your input.

bump…

anywhere here to help!!!

bumppppppppppppppppp

Can you explain what you mean when you classify the colleges as High, Medium and Low? I am not sure what that refers to

^^I think he means Reach, Match, Safety

Maybe it’s just me, but I think the OP is just too general to respond to.

People may not be responding because your ranks seem odd. There are major jumps and little reasoning.

Give more info.

Sounds like a solid list. I personally think Rutgers, Drexel, and USP are easier to get into than University of Rochester.

I would not have Drexel and Rutgers listed above University of Rochester. I would list those at the bottom of your list. Not sure if Purdue should be bumped up.

University of Rochester - match
Drexel - safety

I have $30,000 scholarship if i get in U. of Rochester.

Should USP be match or safety?

High - (Duke/Rice/Carnegie Mellon), Stanford, John Hopkins, Cornell
Medium - University of Rochester, Rutgers, University of Sciences, Georgia Tech
Low - Purdue, Stevens Institute of Tech, Drexel

Hows the list now? My first preference is JHU but I know its really hard to get in.
Which one is better…Duke, Rice, Carnegie Mellon? for Biomed?

Also, can I put Boston University/ University of Pittsburg for Medium? How is BME there if anyone knows about it?

anyone???

Pitt has very reputable BME.

One of my high school friends does BME at BU. He’s a freaking genius and could’ve gone to any school he wanted, but chose BU Early Decision, which means the program there’s probably pretty awesome.

Reach- Stanford, Cornell, John Hopkins, Harvard(even applying is honor)
Match - U. of Rochester, Rutgers, U. of Pittsburg, University of Sciences(pharmacy)
Safety - Drexel, Stevens Institute of Tech., Purdue

This is my final list…Is it good in all three categories?
