Hi! I’m a senior in high school, who is planning on going to medical school in the future. I’ve already decided that I want to major in exercise physiology, but I have such strong interests in sociology and theater. I love studying sociology and I think it would be so interesting to take the courses that fall under that major/minor. I also really want to perform with the theater program. I don’t know whether I should double minor or double major or…? Anybody have advice? I also hope to avoid burnout so… Plz help
You don’t have to major or minor in something to take classes in it, even a lot of classes. You also don’t have to major in theater to perform in student theater. Most colleges allow anyone to audition for theater productions, and some colleges have more than one theater program - some that are for more serious students (students who are majoring in theater and/or are considering careers in theater) and some that are for students who just want to enjoy theater as an extracurricular.
So you could major in exercise science/physiology, minor in sociology and just do theater as an activity. Or you could just major in exercise physiology and then take some classes in sociology and theater.
