<p>ND is my #1</p>

<p>Hispanic female from a pretty good public school in Southern California, but it's not particularly competitive or anything.
First generation</p>

<p>I plan on majoring in either Psych or Finance</p>

<p>Testing/Grades:
-SAT: 2050 (760 W 650 R 640 M) - not good, especially since a lot of schools just look at R + M, but I think I can break 2200 in October
-SAT II: 790 US History, 690 Lit, 650 Math II (retaking Math/Lit)
-ACT: 31 (retaking as well)
-GPA: 4.62 weighted, 4.0 unweighted
-Rank: My school doesn't do rankings but I am definitely in the top 1% (probably top 3-5 in a class of 500-600)
-AP: 5 on Human Geography, European History, US History, Psychology, Spanish (taking Biology, Calculus AB, US Gov't/Politics, English Lit, and possibly French this year)
-IB: 6 on Psychology SL; I'm a Diploma candidate so I'll be taking Bio, English, and History of the Americas HL; French and Math SL</p>

<p>Volunteering:
-Centro Rehabilitacion Infantil Teleton (charity in Mexico; I work with physically disabled kids) - 70 hours during the summer
-Church volunteer work - 70 hours
-School Food drive (doesn't sound that important but it's a huge event at my school) - 36 hours
-ArtMiles (UN organization; decorate shoes to send to 3rd world countries) - 12ish hours
-Peer tutoring - 10ish hours (I will be doing a lot more this year)
-Help for Brain Injured Children - local charity, I'm going to start there in a few weeks for my CAS so I'll have ~80 hours by the end of the year</p>

<p>Acceptance to ND seems probable. You would probably need to show more leadership in both your ECs and your community service work to get into Yale or Stanford. You still have a shot as a Hispanic first generation college student, but it may depend on your family’s income: Your EFC needs to be zero for Yale to accept you during the Match Round.</p>

<p>After doing QB myself and not getting matched and knowing students that did, I just want to stress how much they emphasize OVERCOMING HARDSHIP. You will make to the finalist round for sure, but colleges look to match the students that have overcome a lot and have a fantastic story, compared to students that are well rounded. They are really looking for students that are at a disadvantage because of their background and might not be noticed by colleges if not for QB. You are a very successful student, but to have the best outcomes in the match process, you really have to demonstrate hardship and how maybe you have not been able to reach your full potential because of it. <p>Lorem, Do all of the Partner Colleges require a zero EFC to be matched? If not, is there a list somewhere? I have looked, but I have not been able to find anything. My DD is a Junior, and I think she will be applying in the Fall. I am estimating our EFC to be about $2000. Thanks</p>

<p>I think Yale is the only one. Penn only matches students with an EFC under $500.</p>
