College of Chemistry -- how much harder?

Really hard. The grades aren't in equal distribution.

Say good bye to the 90-80-70-60 system.

If you are a premed, MCB generally isn't worth it unless it is something you really love.

Med schools don't give a flying **** what your major is and they care that certain majors are harder than others. They want to see a high GPA and completion of requirements. A 4.0 MCB major premed is equal to a 4.0 English major premed

wait, you mean they DON't care what your major is?

you said "they care that certain majors are harder than others"

no equal distribution as in, most people get B's with few A's and C's?? :/

How do students who were like me tend to do in CoC? Are you in CoC?
What does being in a certain college even MEAN? You all have to take certain classes, but it isn't like you have to live with the people within CoC or something right?

You're going to get in CoC or L&S just fine. You have REALLY similar stats to mine 2 years ago and I'm an asian female who came to the US at age 8 w/ no english. I applied to CoC then and got in from TX, you're from CA so you'd have an even better chance than I did.

I'm in the CoC right now and I did pretty badly first semester since the first Chem classes are weeder so you got to kick it up from HS 10x more. But in general CoC makes you take science classes that are of a higher level than L&S like for ex physics, we have to take calculus based physics while MCB majors can take algebra based physics.

You live wherever you want to live. It's just that science majors (especially chem and engineering majors) tend to choose Foothill/Stern/Bowels since they're the closest to the chem and physics buildings.
