hi hows its goin guys
Im going into my 2nd year here at a community college and have been looking into msu's college of packaging school, the minium gpa stated on the msu websie is 2.4 and 3 pre-req. classes. i will have the pre-req classes done before the year is over. But at the same time its says a minumum of 3.0 will not be accepted on states transfer page online. Iam really confused on the gpa requirments? could you please help, your help will be much appreciated! thanks
stats-
by end of next year (spring 2011) i will have approx 2.7 or 2.8 gpa
and over 60 credits under my belt
i have taken up to calc 1 for math and this fall will taking physics and chemistry the next.
i would really love to go here

oh yeah i have asked a similiar question before on the “my chances page” but didnt get a good response. please help!

From the MSU transfer website:

I do not know the specific requirements for the packaging school. Generally though, a 3.0 GPA is what is needed for transfers. However, that is not to say you won’t get in.

I think you’ll get in. Packaging isn’t too competitive at state from what i hear.

I’m a transfer student and i had a 3.6 with 15 credits my first semester and they asked to see my second semester transcript because i didn’t meet the math requirement and i finished the school yr with something like 3.3 or 3.4 cumulative GPA with 29 credits total.

Since you have the math and English requirement taken care of with 60 credits you should be fine as long as you apply as early as possible.

^ There is a pretty big difference between a 3.3/3.4 and a 2.7/2.8

thanks for advice guys, yeah its doesnt sound so competitive becuase the minimum gpa is 2.4 to transfer for college of packaging science. so would u guys know what would be the best time to apply with the best chances?
