Hi, I'm a senior who has recently received admission from the College of W&M and I am planning to go there, but I would like to know about its business major compared to other colleges/universities. Ex: NYU, Boston College and etc...

William and Mary is old, beautiful, relatively cheap, and small. You'd think with all that going for it, it would be seen as competition for the very top colleges and universities in the country. Is there something weird about it that makes it less prominent than it should be?

To be blunt: Its endowment is pathetic. This has an affect on the quality of some of its programs and faculty. I think it should be a LAC instead of a national/public university. It definitely has that feel to it and out of staters usually think of it as 2nd rate to UVa.

Yeah, 8,000 students and an endowment under $500 million does not help its cause. W&M must either grow much bigger or become significantly smaller if it wants to compete with the big boys. Still, W&M is a very highly regarded university, no matter how you slice it.
