Hello! I’ve recently become interested in applying to Georgetown, but was unsure whether the College or SFS would be a good fit for me. I come from a STEM school, and I am particularly interested in medicine or Global Health. However, I’m also very interested in foreign affairs and diplomacy, especially for the Middle East. I’m unsure if I would like to go to medical school, but I currently am leaning towards a MD-PhD for Social Policy. However, I may decide against medical school later on. I’m leaning towards STI right now in SFS, but I’m disappointed that I can only pick Arab Studies or Diplomacy to go along with that choice. Although the college seems to provide more flexibility, I’m worried I’ll miss out on a lot of opportunities that SFS has to offer. Does anyone want to offer any insight to help me?
NHS. Has a global health policy program. Might mix the two for you. It can be premed track or not. I think they only take about 75 students a year so super selective when half are boys and half girls. That’s only about 37 of either. Hooks legacies international take a few more spots. But why not. The college in general is a bit more accessible but not appreciably moreso.
