Question about College vs. SFS

Hey everyone, so I'm looking for some advice.

I applied to the College as a pre-med bio major and got in. However, now I'm very unsure about whether I want to be a doctor and I'm seriously considering politics. My ultimate goal would be to major in government and minor in women's and gender studies while also fulfilling pre-med requirements in case I change my mind (I don't know that this can be done, but some seem to think so.) I know you can also fulfill pre-med requirements in SFS though, and get a certificate in women's and gender studies. Would it be worth it to try to transfer into SFS because of the political prestige?

It is possible to fulfill the pre-med requirements in the SFS , however it can be difficult because of the core requirements. Keep in mind that you will have to be proficient in a language, take 4 semesters of econ etc. However, you cannot major in “government” in the SFS, you would have to pick from one of the given majors (maybe International politics?) so make sure they interest you before you decide anything. SFS is prestigious, but make sure it is what you want to do!
