My college orientation's this weekend and I'm kindof excited to meet people/somewhat nervous. What are college orientations like? Since mine is so early in the summer, I'm worried that I'll have a crappy two days and then spend the next two months dreading college instead of looking forward to it. I wish it was right before school started, it would be so much easier to get it done all at one time. Am I stressing over nothing? Any tips for orientation?

I have orientation end of July(the last orientation date actually) and am kind of nervous. I know it'll be exciting but I was hoping to have a roommate by then but they aren't assigned until later. Mine's only one day from 8am-4pm and that's when we get our accounts, course schedule, and do an indepth tour of the campus. Haven't you gotten an agenda for the weekend? I know I got a big packet about what's going to happen.

So, anyone have any tips for us?!?!

... sorry that I didn't answer any of your questions but I'd like to second the request for info!

Orientation is fun. I went to Fenway the night of mine, because the school was only a ten-minute walk from there. A lot of kids go out and party during orientation. Don't worry if you don't make 1,000 friends during those two days. Just pay attention to the material provided (it actually is helpful), go to all the events offered (lots of free food and other cool things), and try to pick good classes. I ended up making tons and tons of friends AFTER school started. Most people won't remember you from orientation. Have a good time, don't be afraid to volunteer for things or be stupid. It's your first look at a new lifestyle.
