The time of year has finally come when I'm supposed to submit all of my applications. I have been done with my applications for two weeks now, but the only thing I'm missing is my college recommendations. I have told my teachers in November that I'm going to need my college recommendations by December 21 because that is the last time I going to see them before the college deadlines. They told me that they're working on it and they'll get in by that time, but they still have submitted them to the common app. I was wondering if these colleges will accept my recommendations after the deadline if submit my application along with my transcript, scores, supplements, and fee today. Will they still accept and my chances don't deteriorate? These are the schools I still need to submit to: Northwester University, University of Chicago, and University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Please Let me know as soon as possible.

Because they know recs depend on the teachers, colleges usally accept letters sent after the application deadline so long as they are not delayed by much.

You should contact those schools to make sure because some will not accept late recommendation letters.

My college counselor says that colleges won’t hold you responsible for your teachers sending in their recommendations lat. Also, make sure you invited them if you’re on commonapp.
