College Recommendations

Hi, i’m a junior in high school and i’m looking to add more schools to my list. I definitely plan to major in either business or economics in college. I am mostly looking for schools that are not in the northeast, and preferably somewhat warm, although these are not required. I am looking for a college that has a bigger social scene, and a school with a lot of school spirit.
My Stats:
GPA: 3.7 UW(strong grade trend after bad freshman year)
SAT: 2150
State: VA
I am doing IB diploma so i am taking the most rigorous course load possible at my school.
AP Scores: AP Government(5) - only offered at my school.
My list: UVA, UNC, USC-east and west, University of Alabama, University of Texas- Austin, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech.

Thanks for any help

What’s your budget?

Budget is not too big an issue. My family would prefer they didnt have to spend 55k a year, however if it was the right school for me they would be willing to spend the money necessary.

Which would you prefer, northeast or warm? Because the two are contradictory.
Rural or urban?
Judging by your current list, I take it you’d prefer a medium or large research U to a LAC?

Sorry for not being very clear, i sad i preferred a college not in the northeast. At this moment, i do not have a real preference for rural or urban, and yes you are correct i would prefer a medium or large research U to a LAC.

Warm climate, majoring in business, big social scene and a lot of school spirit makes me think of SMU, TCU, Baylor and Tulane.

Take a look at Clemson.
