College Rejection Letters

I applied to eight schools and only 1 replied and accepted me, and the other seven hasn't gotten back to me yet. I know it's only early March but I am freaking out because some people already heard back from their colleges and I wonder if colleges usually mail the rejection letters last, after they mailed all the acceptance letters?

Thanks

i wouldn't be too concerned. most schools aren't sending out their rd notifications till the very end of march or early april. it could be that the school that accepted you sent out an earlier wave of acceptances for the top applicants.

chill, colleges mail whatever they want first. So if you don't have it, it doesn't mean anything. But as a general rule of thumb, crappier schools will notify around feb and the good ones in march/april.

Really? I don't think that's necessarily true...

most schools will have decisions out by april 1st so not to worry

To answer your question directly, no. The "waves" of mail generally have a mix of acceptances, rejections and wait-lists.

Except for USC that has waves of admits and sends rejects the very last.

Uh-oh I still haven't received a letter from USC. Neither has anyone in my school and I live in socal

yea nickel Xenon is just a pessimist/doesnt know what he is talking about.

Does anyone know exactly why that would be though?

The last wave for USC admission is on the 28th of this month. Though I heard last year some people were still getting acceptances around mid April. But after they send out all the acceptances they start with the rejections.
