college search decisions

Hi everyone, I have no idea whatsoever on which path I should take. I want to go premed and have really good stats, but I dont know if I want to go to cornell, university of Rochester, or suny geneseo. If I go to cornell, ill get some discount bc im in ny state, but will still graduate with a lot of debt. (Tuition at 30k a yr.)
I kind of like university of rochester because its a nice campus with nice facilities and a strong pre med program but it costs the most and ill be drowning in debt before I even start accumulating loans from med school.
Then there's suny geneseo. Its not bad but the place doesnt seem as nice as the other two. However if I go there my parents will pay everything and ill graduate debt free.
Pleases help me. I dont know which one will be my early decision and academic programs that fit my needs.
Thank you in advance for your help and support!

Cornell is a private school so you wont get a tuition discount unless your parents work there. I personally cannot tell you what college to apply to because it is ultimately your choice. But i most definitely agree with graduating with as little as debt as possible. You are more then likely a junior judging by your post. I would fill out the FAFSA and the CSS profile for all the schools you apply to and talk to your parents and see how much they are willing to pay. With any school you cannot go wrong with premed because all schools have a premed program. To complete a pre-med program you have to take course in math and the sciences in college which all schools offer. Have you visited any of the schools?

Obviously this is a choice you will have to make yourself, but graduating debt free sounds really nice.

I would advise against Cornell unless you get a really good scholarship because having $80- 120k of debt before you even get into med school is a really bad idea. I’m not an expert but I would think getting a good GPA and having good test scores would count more for med schools than the name of your school.

If you actually do want to go to med school then limit your UG debt. Take Geneseo.
