Hi right now I am a Junior in high school looking early at engineering schools i think are within my financial and academic capacity, and I’ve narrowed my choices to RIT, Clarkson, and University of Rochester, now by no means am i making my decision based off what people tell me on here I am just interested about a statistic that baffles me and could influence my decision, it is why are starting salaries for alumnis at what i would consider lower tier than others more high? For example i think University of Rochester is certainly more qualifying which requires higher SAT/ACT scores and GPA than Clarkson and RIT, but the average alumni starting salary is $54,600, while Clarkson is $63,800, and RIT is $60,300 when requirements to get in are easiest for the most payed as well is this a matter of because Clarkson is primarily of an engineer school therefore the starting average salary should be higher (More primarily engineered than the other 2), or is this a matter of ones better than the other. An explanation for this would be good, thanks.
