My dream school is the George Washington University and my second choice is American University (both in DC). Yet, I sometimes lean toward American University because not only is it a college campus (not an urban campus), but also it has a 2=5 program where you can obtain 2 degrees (masters and bachelors) in 5 years. Yet GWU is an AMAZING school that has a great IR program. Can anybody give me real Pros and Cons of the 2 schools, I know that GWU probably has better academics, but I want to hear other opinions too. :)

Full pay at both?

Go with your gut. Seems like you have more reasons for why you would like to attend American U that go beyond “prestige”

I think the relative academics depend upon what you intend to major in. My son had to choose between these two schools six years ago. His major was political science and the two schools were similarly strong in that field. For him it came down to money. GW offered him a half tuition scholarship while AU gave him full tuition. If you are certain about what you want to study then AU could be a good choice. If you are unsure, then GW is stronger in more fields (sciences, etc.).

Now I am worried about whether or not I should do ED or RD. I really wanted to ED to GWU because it’s always been my top school but I do not have enough money. When I can file for Financial Aid?
