One of my teachers let me read his reccommendation (I know, I know, bad policy… I think he was just trying to console me after I nearly cried when he brought up December 15th), and it mentions the college I am applying early to a number of times. He graduated from the same school (Yale) and talks about how his own experience leads him to believe I would thrive there, along with some more general “Yale would be crazy not to take her” stuff. Do you think this changes the tone of the reccommendation in any noticible way? In a good/bad way?
And also, will my guidance counselors edit all the Yale shout-outs when I don’t get in and they need to send my app to all the other schools? I’m not sure U Chicago really cares about how much I love Yale…
Thanks for any input.
