<p>Both would work, but I think a more personal approach (such as describing an anecdote in your life, and then relating that to what you’re looking for in a college) would be easier, and would help you avoid sounding overly broad or generic in your essay.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t get too hung up on the wording. Both of those prompts are asking basically the same thing.</p>
