As i expected, the programs tend to be extra tear. O well, badminton is so worth it, as the martial arts will be, and hopefully fencing and ect, too. I'm so excited for the yoga and other, more obscure eastern exercises. Yay.

What sports do you guys want to play most ?
Me? Soccer

if you take a pe class, the membership fee is waived.

and just think...35 dollars is actually a good deal!

i don't know about you guys, but in my town, its well over 35 a month to join a decent gym.

and yeah, all the options look fun.

But maybe I will try Western Stuff. Back in Vn, I only played soccer.

So did you guys join sport teams in high school?
When I came, it was in the middle of junior year. I did not know English well, I did not know about clubs and stuff(we dont have extracurricular activities in VN, or they just dont count). So in the last two year, the active me have become so quiet, introverted, uninvolved.
I'm gonna play, go out extra-hard in college to make up for my loss in the last two years.

i didnt have a super traditional high school experience. i attended public high school until my sophmore year, when i transferred into an independent studies program. i wasn't really into sports in high school, i was more of the musician/writer/work-a-holic type.

i would get involved in something active at berkeley, especially if it was unqiue or alternative. ive done ballet in my younger years, that would be fun.

Look at the poor kid in this picture.. he looks like he's about to pass out :O

Ha ha ha ha

If you are looking for a new sport, you may want to try Ultimate Frisbee. Here's the link to CAL's team, UGMO, http://www.ugmo.org/. My son was a freshman last year and played on the team; had a great time.

IzzieBear, he's a music/math guy, and was not into heavy traditional team sports in HS, so you may want to check it out

"for students, it's $35 a semester to use all the facilities and gyms on campus. boo to not being free..."

Students will spend considerably more than $35 a semester on alcohol, tabacco and drugs, so this is definitely a bargain!

yeah, for sure.its a heck of a lot better than the cost of normal gyms, sheesh.

I'm surprised that haven't raised the price yet!
