I suggested College of Charleston, Furman and Connecticut College. Any other suggestions? He liked Muhlenburg, but it is no where near the coast. Thank you!

His parents can afford up to 50k, so I’m assuming money will not be a problem. Thanks for the suggestions. He also wanted me to add a sort of party scene and a good study abroad program. Oh and he would like to stay suburban if possible.

I think he has practically defined a null set–conservative, Catholic, party school, teaching Scandanavian languages, with a triathlon team on the mid-Atlantic coast. Seems wacky to me, and far more interested in non-essential attributes of the college experience.

No such campus exists. He’s too prescriptive - I’d guess that no more than 5% of American colleges have Scandinavian languages, Triathlon teams, 4-5K students, or coastal settings, and limiting the range from Delaware to South Carolina probably cuts out 80% of schools in the U.S.

Furman is not near the coast and is not Catholic. It would likely be a reach school at best based on current GPA. It is a great college but it does not meet many of your criteria.

Connecticut College is not Catholic or conservative and would also likely be a reach. Like Furman, it is a great LAC but does not meet most of your criteria. I think the requirements need to be scaled down to include only the most critical items.

It doesn’t have to be a Catholic U. I was just saying he is Catholic. And I agree with all of you, I told him he is being way too picky. I told him I would help him, but he had too much criteria. The most important things to him is:

Business and German
By the Coast
Scandinavian language courses

It doesn’t have to be conservative or Catholic.
