College Suggestions?

UW GPA: 3.5
Weighted: 3.8
SAT Math + CR = 1320.
SAT Composite: 1940

i want to major in economics, minor in math, and tae pre-med electives. i haven't listed my EC's but they're great and i'm pretty confident in my essay writing skils.
which good colleges do you think i'd have a good chance at? slight reaches are also welcome. money's not too much of an issue

Which state do you live in?

i live in indiana, but money’s not a big issue so i can go out of state. the only college i’m really looking at within indiana is IU, which is one of my safety schools.

Villanova might be a slight reach. Also, any of the patriot league schools: American, Lehigh, Bucknell, Lafayette. Furman in South Carolina.

can all patriot schools be considered as “safe” schools for me?

I’m sorry to burst your bubble but those schools aren’t safeties by a longshot. Bucknell and Lehigh are two great schools and are matches if not slight reaches.

what would you say are my chances of getting into bucknell and/or lehigh?
would it help if i apply during regular decision instead of early action or early decision? this coming senior year is when i’m taking all my AP classes (since our school only allows us to take the majority of them during senior year) so it’s a possibility i could increase my GPA over 4.0 weighted and maybe 3.7 or so unweighted.

You applications are going to be in before any of your senior grades are calculated into your GPA. Your senior schedule will be available to colleges so they will see you are taking the most rigorous courses available at your school (your counselor should supply a supplimental sheet explaining that AP’s aren’t taken until senior year). What is your class rank, Math SAT I score, do you have any “B”'s in any of the math classes you’ve taken in HS?

i rank 44 out of 208, that’s top 25%. math sat I is 690. i got 630 on CR.
the only b’s in math i had were in freshmen year; i got b’s both semesters.
if i apply during regular decision (before january 1st, at the middle of december), the first semester of my senior year would be done. i’m not sure if december 20th or so would be too late to send in an app that’s due jan 1st but if i do wait till the 20th, my first semester grades of senior year would get counted in my GPA

For Lehigh you are in their SAT range but 93% of their incoming freshman last year (who reported class rank) were in the top 10%

Bucknell doesn’t report class rank stats but you again are in their average SAT range.

Based on these I would think you’d have a better than average chacne at Bucknell, maybe an average chance at Lehigh.
