Hey, I am back. Sorry, but we were away on west coast tours this past week. I really do appreciate everyone’s input. I am juggling all of the suggested options and hoping to come up with a plan based upon our points/miles/and your helpful suggestions! Appreciate you all taking the time to share your wisdom. Thanks so much all!
You dont have to “get back to Boston” if you fly via Providence. It’s not a provincial airport anymore. Look at schedules.
Do not drive through, into, or out of Boston. Take the train or bus
Not expensive. Logical.
Locker luggage at Amtrak? Someone’s been watching too many Perry Mason episodes.
From memory, Harvard scheduling made it difficult to do two colleges in one day if you wanted to do the tour and info session. Brown and Yale in one day is doable.
Agreed… Most college makes it very difficult to do more than one college if you do the info session and tour unless they are nearby. We recently did MIT in the morning and Tufts in the afternoon. The schedule was really tight. I had about 30 minutes to spare going from one to the other. Now one could skip the info section as you are not going to get much from sitting in the auditorium.
Better look at info and tour availability asap, if you haven’t.
Only 10 open days in August for Harvard.
^ And a footnote on several days I checked, that no tours.
@compmom Boltbus and Megabus don’t go to New Haven or Providence. (Megabus used to go to Providence but no longer does.)
Sorry, yeah of course. But buses are cheaper in trains, so I guess that should have been my point Boston to Providence today is $5.
