College tour during the year

Hi. I’m going to be a junior, and this October I will be going on a college tour trip to the west coast (I live on the east coast). We already booked the tours and flights for a 6 day trip, which means I’m missing a full 5-day week of school.

I’m super worried because I’m taking 3 APs, and 3 other honors (still challenging) courses and I will have SO much homework, tests, quizzes, etc. to make up. Not to mention sooo many notes and concepts that my classmates will have spent hours learning and I’ll be so behind and confused about everything. I’m really bad at making things up, and when I missed ONE day this past year, it took me about a week to make everything up + fully learn all the concepts for tests/finals.

Has anyone had to go through a similar experience, especially for going on a college trip? Do you have any advice for how to cope with missing so much material and assignments?

Talk to your teachers the week before your trip and see if you can get any work then or at least a schedule of the lesson plan. Maybe you can turn in work before your trip or submit some online.
For now just relax and don’t worry about it. You’ll cross that bridge when you get to it.
