College/University Info Sessions...?

Should I go to both?
What should I expect?

And does anyone know of a student who only took the ACT (No SAT II's) and has been accepted to Cornell? :o)

I thought the information session was informative. However, being one of two non-New York residents, I felt kind of left out. Most of the questions that parents asked were those obnoxious ones like "can we add extra recommendation letters" or "if my daughter got a perfect SAT score but no so well on her AP tests can she still get accepted."

I'd go to the information sessions, but leave as the Q/A starts. It's worthless; but it's that way at ALL competitive colleges. Just too many dumb people trying to figure out how to game the system and show up everyone else in the room.

Ha, kind of sounds like these forums :)

(just kidding!)

Thanks for the qick reply, counters.

Not a problem. I was being kind of sarcastic, so if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

It really is worth going to, if you have the chance. Also do a campus tour if you've never done one before. To be completely honest, there are only two things that are keeping Cornell at my number 1 position as opposed to MIT: the music and the beautiful campus.
