College Visits

Hi I am a rising senior and I will be visiting the East Coast in late July for college visits. We are already planning to visit Duke, W&M, University of Richmond, maybe Georgetown, Brown, and Brandeis. I live in Idaho so I would really like some help. I want to see a few more but I don't know which schools would be good to visit. I am looking for a school that is very strong in biological sciences, with particular interest in environmental, conservation, and marine science and is small <8,000 undergraduates. Any suggestions?

You’re really looking across many states, and that will take up a lot of time and money. Since Boston is such a huge college town and it is near Brandeis of Waltham, Mass, try looking at some schools in Boston. What I did for last summer was visit 3 of them while on vacation, and I also visited 2 others during spring break. This summer while on vacation in the same place I’m visiting the last one I’m interested in there. I’m not sure about the others, although there seem to be a lot of major universities near Georgetown. To lessen the stress, try to find good colleges near each of the colleges you are already interested in.

My friend specifically chose College of the Atlantic for its marine science program. Other schools in the Maine area include the University of Maine, University of New England, and Colby College if you happen to be in the area.
