I went to cc for the first year, then I applied to my dream school that I originally got denied from in hs, and I got in. So my first semester was supposed to be this current one, I paid my deposit, picked all my classes etc, but a big personal family problem came up for me just weeks before I was supposed to start that won’t allow me leave home this semester. I called and asked if they could defer my enrollment until the spring, they said they can’t for whatever reason and that I would have to reapply for the spring semester? Now this made me a little uneasy cause is there still a chance I will get denied cause I’m reapplying?(Even though no info would be changed) I don’t get why I would have to do this, as on my profile on their portal site I am enrolled at the school, just not taking any classes/paying. So I asked why do I have to completley reapply, why can’t I just stay enrolled and pick spring classes when the time comes, and they never answered that. Again, I just get a little nervous when they would tell me to reapply again, but I just dont get the point. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Sounds like that is their policy. You would probably get in if you applied again. Had they awarded you any scholarships or financial aid? I would be concerned that they might not hold that money for you.
You have to explain the problem in detail and provide certificates. Reach out first to Admissions, then to the Dean of students for your college or our year. Do so on Monday first thing.
@MurphyBrown No I just took a year of cc classes and used that to transfer this year, I won’t be taking any classes this semester
